Day 1: Arrival

Arrival at Kittilä airport and private transfer to Levi. Checkin at the hotel/accommodation. You will be issued with warm winter clothes either tonight or tomorrow morning. Free time to enjoy the surroundings or try to ski the Levi slopes.

Overlooking the Levi Village, the hotel is easily accessible via the Levi Express Cabin lift, by stairs from the center of the village or via road. The magnificent views stretch out to the nearby fells of Pallas and Kätkä. The hotel welcomes you with bright and spacious hotel rooms and a complete set of facilities from a restaurant and bar.

Day 2: Meet the Reindeer & The Lappish shaman

Reindeer are remarkable creatures that have adapted perfectly to the unique conditions they live in. They’re beautiful animals, loved by the local Sami people and adored by visitors. 

After breakfast, we will visit a traditional reindeer farm where you will experience a unique moment to feed reindeer with a local reindeer herder in authentic setting in the snowy white scenery in the peaceful location of Levi.

First, you will hop onboard a reindeer sleigh, after the feeding you can enjoy a warm berry juice or coffee by an open fire and hear more about the reindeer and reindeer husbandry in Finnish Lapland.

At evening we will meet the Shaman…

These Even the most busy traveler settles down comfortably on reindeer skins in the lappish tepee, “kota”.  Let the open fire tune you into the atmosphere, relax your mind and wider your senses for upcoming events.

Within about a half-hour drive from Levi lies Lake Jerisjärvi. On the edge of the lake, in Keimiöniemi, lives the Lapland Shaman. The Shaman tells you about the magical atmosphere of Lapland, of gnomes, Northern Lights, Lappish nature – and lastly, before disappearing, endows the travelers with good luck dedicating them with the magic circle of Lapland.

Day 3: Ice-Fishing by Snowmobile

The perfect program to gain a better understanding of local life! Our Snowmobile safari combined with Ice Fishing experience it is a great way to spend a winter day like a typical Finn! The guide will take you across the snowy fields of the arctic forest to a frozen lake that is only reached by the snowmobiles. The arctic forest trail has breathtaking surroundings where you can take beautiful pictures.
Once you arrive to the frozen lake, guides will teach you to open a hole in the ice and the best techniques to catch the fish! ice Fishing offers tranquil nature experience and fresh air! A bonfire will be created to warm up yourself and some sausages and warm drinks will

Day 4: Born to Run & Traditional Sámi dinner

Experience the complete silence of the Arctic nature around you and ride a husky sleigh through the untouched wintery woods.

During the day you will listen to the musher’s stories about the nature in the region, the huskies, their life and training.

The car transfer to the Husky Farm goes through the beautiful countryside and you will get a glimpse of the local life and landscapes along your way. Be sure to bring your camera, you’re in for a treat.

At evening we will visit a traditional Sámi restaurant where we will be dinner.

The restaurant is located halfway underground in a so called kammi and has a cozy, warm atmosphere. It is a place where you can enjoy a delicious warm meal for a special occasion, after an active outdoor day in Levi or if you are just curious for our delicasies. 

Once you are inside our restaurant you can feel the warmth of the open fire, experience Sámi hospitality and enjoy yoik’s (a Sámi form of singing) by Niiles-Jouni. A truly unique experience!

Day 5: Departure

It is departure day, your guide will drop you off at the airport two hours before departure.

Overlooking the Levi Village, the 4* hotel Levi Panorama is easily accessible via the Levi Express Cabin lift, by stairs from the center of the village or via road. The magnificent views stretch out to the nearby fells of Pallas and Kätkä. The hotel welcomes you with bright and spacious hotel rooms and a complete set of facilities from a restaurant and bar, conference facilities and Samiland Exhibition.

The Junior Suites are 37-46.5 sq. m. in size. The rooms have two 100 cm wide beds. There is also a bright living room with a sofa bed. Some of the rooms have a private sauna and some a bathtub. Rooms have flat-screen TVs in the bedrooms and living room, a minibar, safe, Cupsolo, iron and ironing board and a clothes dryer.
